Q: How do I know if my foundation is in need of repair?

Q: Do repairs take a long time?
A: No. We’re typically done in 2-3 days. And, all work is backed by a Lifetime Transferable Warranty.

Q: If I want to sell my house will I have to repair my foundation?
A: In the vast majority of cases, yes. There are disclosure laws prohibiting a homeowner from patching or covering foundation cracks in order to sell to an unsuspecting buyer. Most mortgage companies and banks will not issue a home loan on a house unless the foundation is repaired. The one exception is a cash buyer willing to buy the house “as is.”

Q: Will I be able to sell my home after Hy-Tech completes repairs?
A: Yes. All repair methods used by Hy-Tech Foundation Repair are HUD, FHA, and VA approved. When you are ready to sell, you need to disclose the foundation repairs and provide third-party professional engineering reports and warranty certificates to the buyers. Your real estate professional can help you with this process.

Q: Does insurance cover the cost of foundation repairs?
A: Most standard homeowners policies cover foundation repairs only when caused by a plumbing leak. Be sure to check your individual policy.

Q: How long after the repairs are done should I wait to fix cracks in my mortar and drywall?
A: It depends on how much your home was lifted. Walls may need time to adjust. A good rule of thumb is to wait 4-6 weeks after repairs are completed.
